Dealing With Loss

                                              In my previous post titled dealing with grief I discussed how I overcame the feeling of grief which has many different causes but mostly loss. In this post I will explain how do I overcome the feeling of loss. For starters the most challenging aspect of overcoming this feeling is to first understand that loss is a part of life, and it can happen for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it could be very easy to blame something for the loss but in reality this doesn't help because the more I blame that something the harder it is for me to move on. The way I work around this is by using that loss to push me forwards and make more goals for myself that I could accomplish.                A challenge that I believe that we all face in life is dealing with grief , this can come from a variety of causes. But the most common causes for me could be from, the loss of a loved one, the breaking off from a relationship, not being able to accomplish a goal or by dealing with rejection. This is challenging for me because I sometimes feel stuck when I'm dealing with grief. But the way that I have learned to overcome this issue is to first understand that everything happens for a reason, and being upset about these sorts events will not change anything. I learned that if I stay upset about something that has happened in the past I tend to get more upset about it rather than less. The next step I usually take is to do exercise which usually helps take my mind off of the subject. I learned that if I do things that I enjoy I overcome this feeling a lot faster. Learning From Mistakes Or Failures

                  In my previous post titled "why it is important to make goals" I briefly discussed learning from failures and/or mistakes when I make my goals and I end up not succeeding. But The way that I have overcame this challenge is to first understand that it is ok to fail and that I need to give myself permission to make mistakes, by doing this I gain an understanding of the concept of "nobody is perfect" including myself. Then I take my time asking myself not "what went wrong" but "what could I do differently, how can I learn from this and what could I do to improve". by asking myself these three questions I take away the fear of from the failures or mistakes I've made and I look at each of them in a way that I could learn from.
