In my previous post titled dealing with grief I discussed how I overcame the feeling of grief which has many different causes but mostly loss. In this post I will explain how do I overcome the feeling of loss. For starters the most challenging aspect of overcoming this feeling is to first understand that loss is a part of life, and it can happen for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it could be very easy to blame something for the loss but in reality this doesn't help because the more I blame that something the harder it is for me to move on. The way I work around this is by using that loss to push me forwards and make more goals for myself that I could accomplish. The next thing that I do is to try to think about all the great memories I had with the individual who had unfortunately passed on. After that I will think of things and people that make me happy to have in my life and focus on the good that is happening currently in my life. to wrap this all up I overcome loss by making goals for myself which helps me not blame anything or anyone for the loss, focusing on the great memories I have made with that person and by focusing on the good that is happening in my life.
