Why I Am grateful For our Fire Department

In my previous post titled why I respect our local heroes I briefly mentioned the fire department and why I respect them. In this post I will explain why do I respect and appreciate the efforts of the brave men and woman who actively seek out fires to keep average people much like myself safe. The reason why I respect them is because they are dedicated to their craft and are willing to put themselves at risk to save people. The next reason is because they saved the place were I work from an electrical fire and thankfully no one was injured. But most of all they are dedicated towards their work and are always finding new ways to rescue those who are trapped in a burning building or educating people about fire safety. Also if the people who were at the scene of the incident I just want to take a moment to thank you guys and I hope that things are going well for you all.

why I am grateful for our police officers

In my previous post titled why I respect our local heroes I discussed why I respect the police, the fire department and our local E.M.T's. in this post I will discuss why is it that I am grateful for the police's services and why I respect these brave men and women. The reason why I respect our police is because a few years ago I was assaulted by an individual who was armed with a knife at my school and I had to defended myself luckily I was not harmed. After I defended myself the police officers came to my school and they were very professional with handling the person who had assaulted me and with talking to me about what is about to happen after the incident occurred. For this I am very grateful for these brave people and if the officer who helped me on that day I was assaulted is reading this I thank you for your service and hope that things are going well for yo...

Why I Respect Our Local Heroes

Something that I see a lot of in life is a lot of people both men and women putting themselves in harms way to keep people like myself safe, and for that I am very grateful to have that luxury in life. now some people may have some mixed or hard feelings about these brave souls for some other reasons but those are their opinion's and experiences. I want to say that i thank and respect these amazing people for their craft and their dedication to it. the reason why i respect the firefighters, the police and our local E.M.T's is because they have both helped me and my family many times before and for that I am extremely grateful for these amazing people and for their continued excellence in their career.

how I focused on my health

In my previous post I discussed how I kept myself in the right state of mind during these challenging times and in this post I will explain into greater detail on how I focused on my mental health in these difficult times. The first thing that I realized was that it is important to keep myself productive so that I don't have to focus on the negative feelings associated with what is going on now. the next step I took was to keep myself physically active by doing lots of good exercises which gave me a sense of control over what I can do to react towards what is happening now. following these courses of action I decided to teach myself new skills such as cooking, coding or in this case starting my blog. Last but not least I also took time out of my day to spend with my family and/or friends, which helped me keep and maintain a healthy amount of social interaction. To sum this all up the way that I focused on my health was by...

what did I do to keep myself in the right state of mind during the pandemic

Something that I have noticed that we are all currently struggling with is keeping ourselves in the right state of mind during this time of the pandemic or as I like to call it the pan-dumb-ic. The way that I am currently dealing with this is by working on new goals for myself, by learning new skills, and by taking the time to try new things. I learned that by keeping myself busy as opposed of bored I tend to feel more in control of my situation which helps me keep myself more relaxed or "stable" during these stressful times. This also helps me keep my mind off of the stress caused by the pandemic by helping me achieve more of my goals by  learning new skills. I learned that with an open mindset as opposed of a fixed mindset I can be more successful with my goals. The last way that this helps me is by allowing me to try new things which gives me a fresh perspective on a new subject that could interest me. therefor by...

moving forward from loss

In my two previous post I discussed how do I deal with loss and how deal with grief in this post I will discuss how do I move forward from loss. The first thing that I usually do is give myself time to grieve so that I don't rush into anything that causes me risk. This may take a while but by taking my time to process what happened I give myself a better way to move forwards in life. after I deal with that grief I take note of what skills I want to improve or learn to help me take my mind off of the issue. Last but not least I will also take note of what great memories I have made with the individual as I have mentioned in my previous post dealing with loss so that I could remember that their are more positives as opposed of the negatives.
